Zeke Sole's practice investigates the notion of subliminal protection in regard to dress. Inviting reflection on the psychology behind clothing, he seeks to provoke inquisition, questioning the appropriation of emotive sensibilities in garments and their validity beyond the masquerade of a product. Creative vision is explored through instinctive and relative attraction. Via the constant exploration of Self, Zeke attempts to discover an habitual methodology and instinctive aesthetic. His experimental practice stems from the opinion that utilitarian, decorative, and modest reasons for clothing the body are all derived from man's primal need for survival, and therefore share a protective origin. |
