Monique Lynch’s entrance into the fashion industry was not always predicted but it is not surprising, considering her love and appreciation for design and her creative flare.  After leaving her accounting career, she quickly became immersed in the fashion world and sought to find her own place in it. She found inspiration and interest in the new technologies filtering their way into fashion and chose to explore this avenue herself.  Monique is thus known for using innovative materials, together with creative pattern cutting techniques, to create her garments.

Monique’s current work stays true to her established practices of integrating technology with pushing boundaries, and seeking new possibilities in garment design.  After creating a hi-tech remote-controlled dress in 2010, she has continued along this experimental path.  Unconventional fabrics coupled with new technologies influence the feeling and aesthetic of her collection.  Body-conscious shapes are also replaced with silhouettes that stand away from the form and are elongated or exaggerated in some way.
