Troy Garton was born and raised in Auckland. As her father is a costume designer/stylist, she has been brought up around fashion, thus bestowing upon her a love for the industry.  

For her final women’s collection for the Bachelor of Design (Fashion), Troy was inspired by an historical epoch. Labelled Troy, this work demonstrates her love for lush fabrics in an interpretation of that epoch, with the outcome being a modern and exciting ready-to-wear range for Autumn/Winter 2012.
