Colours have driven Victoria Backhouse’s final work for her Bachelor of Design degree in Fashion.  Victoria feels that the broad term “colours” gives her a blank canvas for whatever medium she wants to explore.    Her love of painting has been the background for experimentation.

Victoria is inspired by Jackson Pollock’s palette and techniques. This has led her to investigate silk painting and create her own textiles, adapting Pollock’s methods.
