For her final year studying the Bachelor of Design (Fashion), Marissa Spencer chose to pursue the women’s wear specialisation, inspired by high-end European footwear as the driving force behind her decision to explore her love of shoes as her graduate collection.

Marissa’s main goal was to create a unique range of footwear tailored to the New Zealand market but with a strong European flavour. Not pertaining to obvious fashions, Marissa’s work is influenced by strong, clean lines and fluid architecture, in an aim to outlast seasonal trends.

Marissa’s shoes are created using locally sourced, premium quality leathers and materials. Her ultimate goal is to design high quality statement shoes for New Zealand women.
