Danielle Booker

Since she was a young girl, Danielle has been fascinated with what nature leaves behind, and has enjoyed gathering collections of shells, unusually coloured or shaped stones, and driftwood, which, as her parents have often discovered, she has arranged on shelves, windowsills and tables.

For her third-year women’s collection, Danielle has desired to reflect her love of all things natural and imperfect, taking inspiration from aging flowers and also the abstract works of Michelle Armas. Her use of drape, pattern cutting using folds, and digital print, have helped to emphasise her embracement of this passion for finding beauty in age and the details that come with it. Named “It’s a Dying Art”, her range aims to embrace both the bold and subtle beauty found in these aging life forms.
